  • Upper School Division Head

    Currey Ingram Academy is now accepting applications for Upper School Division Head, for a July 1, 2017start date. Currey Ingram is a K-12 day school for students with learning differences. Candidates should have a minimum of a graduate degree in educational leadership, special education or a related field. Individuals should have at least five years experience in either teaching or administration in a public or independent school. A strong preference will be given to the individual with significant school leadership experience and experience working with students with learning differences. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills and work well with parents, faculty and students.   • ADHD - Summer Treatment Program Staff 2017

    The Summer Camps Program at Currey Ingram Academy is interested in enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are currently enrolled in a collegiate field of study related to education and are seeking internship credit.​ This full-time position presents applicable experience working with children ages 8-12 in multiple settings. The ADHD-STP provides treatment tailored to each child’s individual behavioral and academic difficulties. Staff members will work within the scope of the program to help students better self-regulate, listen attentively, and refine their social skills. Specific, intensive training will take place before camp begins. In addition to receiving internship credit, staff members will earn an hourly compensation.   • Interim Middle School Physical Education/Public Speaking/Student Support (Grades 5-8)

    Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for an interim Physical Education/Public Speaking/Student Support teacher. This full-time position will begin in late November and end in mid-March.   Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching students with diverse learning styles. Duties will include:
    •     Teaching grades 5/6 physical education classes
    •     Teaching Public Speaking classes in grades 7/8
    •     Co-teaching a 5th grade advisory
    •     Supporting student academic and behavior goals 
    •     Assisting with student activities and programs
    •     Collaborating with other members of a multi-disciplinary team of  administrators, teachers, and Occupational Therapists

  • Lower School Classroom and Support Teachers for 2017-2018

    Currey Ingram Academy Lower School is currently accepting applications for teaching positions for the 2017-2018 school year. Both classroom (homeroom) and support (academic groups) teaching positions are available. Teaching responsibilities for the classroom position will include language arts (reading, spelling and written language), math, social studies, science and/or handwriting; whereas, support teachers teach children in small groups for reading, spelling, written language and math. Excellent communication in both oral and written expression and experience with technology are required. Minimum requirements include a degree in elementary education, special education or a related field, with preference given to those with at least five years of experience and/or experience in teaching students with learning differences.   • Middle School Teacher 2016-2017

    The Middle School at Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for a teaching position for for the 2016-2017 school year. Responsibilities will include teaching English/Language Arts groups with the possibility of support for classes in other subject areas.  Candidates with a degree in reading, English, elementary/middle school education, special education or a related field are encouraged to apply.   • Part-Time Bus Driver 2016-2017

    The job duties for this position may include driving bus routes in the morning and afternoon and/or driving for field trips and athletic events. The drivers must meet Tennessee DOT requirements for driving buses, as well as, maintain a Certified Drivers License with P (Passenger) and S (Air Brake) endorsements. Experience Required. About Us

Located in Brentwood, Tenn., just miles from Nashville and Franklin, Currey Ingram Academy is a K-12 independent, college-preparatory day school for students with unique learning styles and/or learning differences.
