  • Accounts Receivable Coordinator - Full-Time - Immediate Start

    Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator. This position reports to the CIA Senior Accountant and is responsible for the day-to-day set-up and maintenance of student accounts in Blackbaud.     Job Duties Include:
    • Coordinates with departments and divisions to receive information on charges and credits as they relate to student accounts.
    • Helps departments organize permissions relating to student account billing.
    • Prepares and sends out regular monthly statements to Currey Ingram families on the 10th of each month
    • Communicates with parents/guardians and Currey Ingram community about matters pertaining to billing and receivables in a timely and confidential manner.
    • Prepares documents/special statements for Currey Ingram families in regards to their account activity.
    • Assists with annual financial audit preparation.
    • Helps troubleshoot and maintain system to receive electronic payments on accounts
    • Will be responsible for installing and promoting new billing technology as advancements are made.
    • Records revenues made through multiple portals
    • Runs monthly receivables reconciliation.
    • Makes daily deposits
    • Assists with various other billing duties as needed.
    Job Requirements:
    • Bachelors Degree Required, Concentration in Accounting/Finance preferred
    • Experience with MicroSoft Excel required
    • Experience with billing and/or Blackbaud nonprofit software experience preferred
  • Child Development Center Floater Teacher

    The Currey Ingram Academy Child Development Center is currently accepting applications for the following full time positions: Teacher Floater for ages infant through 5 years.

    Job Description

    The primary role of every person at Currey Ingram Academy is to embrace and uphold the mission of our school. As a member of the staff, the employee will serve as a role model for leadership in developing and maintaining mission-driven endeavors of Currey Ingram Academy.

    A. Job Summary
    Provides support for library services by working in the Learning Commons assisting the librarians. This position is a part-time staff position for 20 hours each week.

    B. Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Upholds the Mission of the school in conversation and behavior
    2. Actively and positively participates as an employee of Currey Ingram Academy
    3. The Library Assistant will complete responsibilities that will support the ongoing operations of the library and special projects as requested by the Director of Libraries and Educational Resources
    4. Will maintain a consistent presence at the circulation desk to circulate materials
    5. Will direct patrons to librarians for help in selecting books, reference questions, and all instructional requests
    6. Will maintain an orderly workspace, which includes reshelving materials as promptly as possible and keeping the circulation desk and student areas neat
    7. Will process new materials and assist with discarding old materials
    8. Will monitor overdue materials, holds, and library reserves, sending reminder notices to students, teachers, and parents when necessary
    9. Will assist librarians in maintaining, organizing, and repairing materials and equipment
    10. May be assigned additional duties and responsibilities as defined by the librarians


    C. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
    1. Skilled in using a personal computer, copier, die cut machine, laminator, and other equipment or software that is needed to complete responsibilities
    2. Ability to learn the library online access catalog (Follett Destiny) to find book and media resources, check out materials, maintain student/patron records, set up and request reports, and other functions as requested
    3. Understanding of the Dewey Decimal System of Classification and library shelving systems
    4. General awareness of all Currey Ingram library subscription databases
    5. Maintain a pleasant and professional attitude and demeanor to all students, parents, staff and faculty
    6. Ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining awareness of patron needs
    7. Be able to handle confidential information without disclosure to others
    8. Be self-motivated and able to work independently
    9. Ability to discern what needs to be completed in a timely manner to help the libraries run efficiently

  • Lower School (Grades K-4) Classroom Teacher 2016-2017

    Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for a classroom teaching position (Grades K - 4) for the 2016-2017 school year. Teaching responsibilities will include language arts (reading, spelling and written language), math, social studies, science and handwriting. Excellent communication in both oral and written expression and experience with technology are required. Minimum requirements include a degree in elementary education, special education or a related field, with preference given to those with at least five years of experience and/or experience in teaching students with learning differences.   • Middle School Instructional Assistant - Part-Time (Grades 7-8)

    Currey Ingram is accepting applications for a part-time Instructional Assistant for the 2016-17 school year, working between 15 - 20 hours per week in the Middle School. This teacher assistant will work under the supervision of a teacher and will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of instruction, providing one-on-one assistance as requested, monitoring student behavior, documenting activities and progress, and supporting student goals. Applicants should have knowledge and experience working with students with autism, understand sensory and behavioral strategies, and be able to provide instructional support.  Preference will be given to individuals with a college degree or students currently taking relevant coursework.
