Welcome from Head of School

Dear Visitor,

A very personal welcome to Currey Ingram Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee. I am so pleased that you have found us. As Head of School, I want to make certain that you hear our story and feel our pride in this exceptional K-12 day school for bright students with learning differences and unique learning styles.

Grounded in a tradition of a quality, college-preparatory education, Currey Ingram provides a decidedly nontraditional style of education. We make it our business to honor each student for his or her individuality and to help students close the gap between potential and performance.

When you visit, you will find no sit-in-rows, copy-from-the-board lessons here. No rote memorization masquerading as “rigor.” Instead, you will find:
  • Small academic classes of 2 to 10 students (depending on the grade and subject) led by highly trained teachers with a passion for meeting every child exactly where he or she is - both in areas of strength and giftedness, and in areas of need.
  • World-class teachers weaving academic, organizational and speech-language supports seamlessly into the school day.
  • Engaged students participating in a wide variety of arts, athletics and social opportunities -- all on our beautiful 83-acre campus just miles from downtown Nashville in Tennessee’s beautiful Williamson County.
  • And, if you stay long enough, you may just find your child making a new friend, volunteering for a leadership position, or going out for a team in a sport he or she has never played.
Families choose Currey Ingram Academy for a variety of reasons, however, most parents at Currey Ingram share a strong common desire for their children to be happy, challenged, supported, known and prepared for college and life beyond.

Parents from 31 states and seven foreign countries have toured, visited and decided to move their entire families to this area, in large part for our school. We are honored by this trust. Please come see for yourself.

Warm regards,

Paul Wenninger
Head of School
