Welcome to Currey Ingram Academy. Grounded in a tradition of quality education and poised for an increasingly exciting future, Currey Ingram Academy provides a premier educational environment for children who learn differently or who have unique learning styles. Our key messages, “developing minds, building character and achieving success,” define what our purpose and mission have achieved since our founding in 1968.
• Developing Minds: Every student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) to address his or her specific learning profile. Small classes promote close-knit relationships among faculty, staff, students and parents. Our integrated technology program enables a 1:1 student-laptop ratio in grades three to 12. Students in kindergarten through second grade have “mobile laptop labs” or desktop computers in their classrooms.
• Building Character: Currey Ingram’s co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities emphasize self-confidence, self-advocacy, character education and community service. Upper School Ethics classes promote the discussion and application of ethical decision-making. Art, theatre, athletic teams, music, outdoor education and a variety of student clubs enrich students’ interests and talents. Our location on 83 acres of historic farmstead and woodland makes environmental education part of everyday life.
• Achieving Success: We enroll students in grades K-12. Families hail from 12 Middle Tennessee counties and, in the past few years, have relocated from more than 26 states and three foreign countries to attend the school. Thanks to individualized college counseling, 100 percent of our graduates in our first four senior classes (2005-2009) were accepted into college programs (with more than half receiving merit-based scholarships!).

Currey Ingram Academy is a primary through twelfth grade independent
college preparatory school. Currey Ingram provides an environment rich
in opportunities for students who have unique learning styles. The
educational program is structured for students to achieve a high
standard of academic excellence through personalized instruction within
the framework of a curriculum designed for superior to average learners.
Currey
Ingram encourages students to develop effective learning strategies by
hiring highly trained teachers who meet the individual educational
needs of each student by building on strengths, addressing learning
styles and cultivating the confidence necessary for self-advocacy.
School activities are planned to broaden interests, promote leadership,
