Personalized Educational Experience
Small classes ensure that all Currey Ingram students receive a very personalized education. Additionally, small-group tutorial classes are built into students’ schedules on a daily basis. Every teacher is trained in the methods that will teach each child in a way that he or she learns best.

Before a child is admitted to Currey Ingram, he or she must obtain a psychoeducational evaluation. This evaluation gives our faculty and administrators a clear picture of the student’s strengths, as well as his or her learning needs. Teaching methods and strategies are then identified and implemented throughout the student’s day – in the classroom, in P.E., in music, etc.

Also, at the beginning of every school year, every teacher for each student contributes to writing an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Once the IEP goals are written, they are monitored and modified, as needed, throughout the year. Four sets of parent-teacher conferences per school year enable frequent communication between school and home.

The students, faculty and staff are a close-knit community of teachers and learners. This fosters confidence in the students and allows the teachers to better understand a student’s (and a family’s) overall profile. The results are bright, confident young people who become their own advocates and are eager to learn.
