| | Programs That Support the Whole Child
At Currey Ingram, a student’s overall educational experience is enhanced by the various programs we offer.
Art, music, library, technology, physical education and drama are
programs that are found in most schools, and Currey Ingram is no
exception. In addition, we offer programs that help mold an individual
student’s character and self-esteem.
A key component of our curriculum in grades K-12 is character education.
Beginning in Lower School, children learn a new character trait each
month and model this trait in everything they do – in the classrooms,
on the playground, in the lunchroom, everywhere that students interact
with others. This idea carries through all grades, ending with computer
ethics classes in the upper grades. (For a complete list of monthly
character traits, please click on character education).
Additional programs that enhance a student’s overall education include
study skills, speech and language tutorials, counseling services, music
and video recording, and a comprehensive health and fitness initiative.
Of course, athletics for all age levels are also a vital part of our
program. At Currey Ingram, we know that students must have a variety of
programs offered during their formative years for them to capitalize on
their strengths and reach their full potential.
As a result, our students are able to identify and celebrate their talents through the many programs that we offer.
