  • Bus Monitor 2017-2018

    Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for a Bus Monitor for two part-time or one full-time position. Candidates should have a minimum of a high school diploma. Candidates should be responsible and enthusiastic; preferably experience working with children with varied learning styles. Responsibilities include ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the children, staff and volunteers during bus transportation to and from the Academy.  It is also the role of the Bus Monitor to guarantee that the bus is clean at all times, follow safety protocols while on the bus, perform bus training sessions, ensure bus evacuation drills are held periodically and evacuate children in case of emergency. The weekday hours are approximately 6-8:30 a.m.(morning) and 3-5:30 p.m. (afternoons - Wednesdays 1:45-3:30 p.m.). The monitor will be paid for a minimum of a 3-hour shift, regardless of number of hours worked.  Pay range (dependent on experience) is $12.50 - $15.00/hr.   • Library/Technology Integrationist (PK-12)

    Currey Ingram Academy is now accepting applications for a 10-month position for a PK-12 Library/Technology Integrationist for the 2017-2018 school year. The role of the Integrationist is to be a part of a team that facilitates the planning and implementation of technology and information resources into the school curriculum and works closely with teachers to select resources, design projects, and assess the program. Preferred qualifications include a masters degree in instructional technology and/or library science, experience delivering professional development, and experience teaching students with learning differences.   • Lower School Music/Creative Drama Teacher (Grades K-4) 2017-2018

    Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for a Music/Creative Drama teacher (Grades K - 4) for the 2017-2018 school year. Teaching responsibilities will include weekly drama and music classes for each K - 4 homeroom class. Additional teaching responsibilities may be added as appropriate. Other responsibilities include planning and preparing a student presentation for Grandparents and Special Friends Day, directing and producing two division-wide programs each school year, and leading afterschool choir groups each week. In other assemblies, this person is responsible for leading special music or theater presentations and/or leading the choirs in the school song. Excellent communication in both oral and written expression and experience with technology are required. Minimum requirements include a degree in music, theatre, music education, or a related field, with preference given to those with at least five years of experience.   • Lower School Speech-Language Pathologist (Grades K-4) 2017-2018

    Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for a K - 4 speech-language pathologist for the 2017-2018 school year, with a start date in mid-October 2017. Responsibilities include providing speech/language therapy, both group and individual, as well as completing speech-language tests, writing goals for Individual Learning Plans, consulting with teachers, and attending parent conferences. Areas of focus for therapy may include articulation, expressive and receptive language skills, and word retrieval strategies. Excellent communication in both oral and written expression is required. Candidates should have a graduate degree in speech/language or communication disorders. Preference is given to candidates possessing ASHA certification, Tennessee licensure, or eligibility for TN licensure.   • Middle School Art Teacher (Grades 5-8) 2017-2018

    The Middle School at Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for an Art teacher to begin during the 2017-18 school year. Responsibilities will include teaching art to students in grades 5-8 and leading an advisory group. As an advisor, the teacher will work with students to promote strategies for academic success, monitor Individual Learning Plan goals, and attend parent conferences.     The Middle School at Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for a seventh- and eighth-grade science teacher to begin during the 2017-2018 school year. Responsibilities include teaching and leading an advisory group. As an advisor,  the teacher will work with students to promote strategies for academic success, monitor Individual Learning Plan goals, and attend parent conferences.  Interested candidates with degrees in science, middle school education, special education and/or a related field are encouraged to apply.   • Full-Time and Part-Time Bus Driver Positions 2016-2017

    The job duties for this position may include driving bus routes in the morning and afternoon and/or driving for field trips and athletic events. The drivers must meet Tennessee DOT requirements for driving buses, as well as, maintain a Certified Drivers License with P (Passenger) and S (Air Brake) endorsements. Experience Required. About Us

Located in Brentwood, Tenn., just miles from Nashville and Franklin, Currey Ingram Academy is a K-12 independent, college-preparatory day school for students with unique learning styles and/or learning differences. Since moving to this campus in 2002, the school has welcomed families from 33 states and eight countries who cite the school as their primary reason for moving to Middle Tennessee.
