  • Child Development Center (Childcare) - Lead One's Teacher

    The Currey Ingram Academy Child Development Center is currently accepting applications for the following full time (12-month) position:  Lead Ones's Teacher.  Preference is given to candidates who have experience working with these specific age groups as well as early childhood education credentials, or their equivalent.  Responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of the classroom and working with the other teachers to meet the developmental, physical, and emotional needs of the infants in a loving and positive way. If you are interested in this position, please click the online application linked to this page.
     
  • Child Development Center (Childcare) Teacher 2018-2019

    Currey Ingram Academy's Child Development Center (Infants to PreK) is currently accepting applications for a full-time teacher.

    Preference is given to candidates who have experience working with preschool children, as well as early childhood education credentials or their equivalent.  Responsibilities include overseeing the daily operation of the classroom and working with other teachers to meet the developmental, physical and emotional needs of children in a loving and positive manner.   • Interim Middle School Music/ Performing Arts Teacher 2018-19

    The Currey Ingram Academy Middle School is currently accepting applications for an interim music and performing arts teacher for the first nine weeks of the 2018-19 school year. Responsibilities will include teaching music classes (band, choir, and music technology) to all students grades 5-8 and theatre classes to grades 5 and 6.  Music includes studies in music appreciation, vocal and instrumental instruction (including but not limited to music theory, note reading, rhythm studies, and music technology), and exposure to some instruments. Theatre includes an overview of the basic techniques of voice and movement and non-verbal communication through theatre games and improvisation.   • Library/Technology Integrationist (PK-12) 2018-2019

    Currey Ingram Academy is now accepting applications for a 10-month position for a PK-12 Library/Technology Integrationist for the 2018-2019 school year. The role of the Integrationist is to be a part of a team that facilitates the planning and implementation of technology and information resources into the school curriculum and works closely with teachers to select resources, design projects, and assess the program. Preferred qualifications include a masters degree in instructional technology and/or library science, experience delivering professional development, and experience teaching students with learning differences.   • Math Teacher - Grades 7-12 - Full-Time or Part-Time 2018-2019

    Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for two part-time mathematics teachers or one full-time mathematics teacher (combining both positions) to teach 40% in our Middle School (grades 7-8) and 60% in our Upper School (grades 9-12) for the 2018-2019 school year.   • Middle School Speech/Language Pathologist (Grades 5-8) 2018-2019

    Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for a full-time Middle School (grades 5-8) Speech/Language Pathologist for the 2018-2019 school year. Candidates should have a graduate degree in speech/language or communication disorders. Preference is given to candidates possessing ASHA certification, Tennessee licensure, or eligibility for TN licensure. Strong CF candidates will be considered. Responsibilities include providing Middle School speech/language therapy (both group and individual), teaching SLP integrated Language Arts, completing assessments, writing Individualized Learning Plans, and leading an advisory group.  As an advisor, the teacher will work with students to promote strategies for academic success, monitor Individual Learning Plan goals, and attend parent conferences.  Please complete the application online to apply for this position. 
  • School Counselor, Grades 5-8, Full-Time Opening for 2018-19 School Year

    Currey Ingram Academy is currently accepting applications for a full-time school counselor (grades 5-8) for the 2018-2019 school year. The Middle School counselor coordinates a comprehensive and developmental school counseling program and partners with administrators, teachers, parents and community professionals to provide a school counseling program that focuses on the academic and personal/social development of students. Responsibilities of the Middle School Counselor include, but are not limited to:
     
    • Provide prevention and intervention services to meet the education and social/emotional needs of students
    • Facilitate groups to address developmental needs: e.g., friendship/peer relations, social skills, stress management
    • Assist with new student orientation and adjustment
    • Consult with mental health professionals and community social service agencies
    • Collaborate with the other Division counselors to develop and implement a sequential school counseling program K-12
    • Develop, monitor, and report on Individual Learning Plan goals for students with specifically identified social coping needs
    • Provide teacher training in areas related to student social-emotional development and safety
    Excellent communication in both oral and written expression and experience with technology are required. Candidates should have a graduate degree in school counseling, social work, or a related field, with preference given to those with at least five years of experience and/or experience working with students with learning differences.
