Social & Extracurricular Opportunities

Developing the whole child includes offering many opportunities for building friendships and cultivating confidence and leadership skills. We say we offer the best of both worlds because our students receive a personalized educational experience while also having access to the trappings of a “typical” school environment.   • Social Opportunities

    Social and team-building activities include Spirit Week, Homecoming, Prom, Field Day, the All-School Campout, dances, class trips, parent-child events and more.
  • Enrichments, Electives & Clubs

    Clubs, electives and enrichment opportunities for all ages include activities such as forensics, Student Council, community service clubs, Cub Scout and Girl Scouts, Powderpuff Football, Love Hurts Dodgeball, movie and game nights, the fourth-grade leaders program, Big/Little Sisters programs, student talent shows and more.
  • Celebrating Strengths & Talents

    In every Division, we take time to celebrate student strengths and talents. Activities vary but often include showcase and public speaking opportunities for students, strength affirmations from peers, fun activities that include families and more.
  • Service Learning

    Service learning activities for all students. In Upper School, this includes four semesters of Ethics and a number of off-campus service learning experiences. Students in Upper School must complete service learning hours to graduate. In the lower grades, each Division offers community service activities for students.

About Us

Located in Brentwood, Tenn., just miles from Nashville and Franklin, Currey Ingram Academy is a K-12 independent, college-preparatory day school for students with unique learning styles and/or learning differences. Since moving to this campus in 2002, the school has welcomed families from 33 states and eight countries who cite the school as their primary reason for moving to Middle Tennessee.

Currey Ingram Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and AdvancEd/Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
