Kelly Fish has been at Currey Ingram Academy as Director of Athletics for grades 5-12 since 2011. Kelly was previously at Belmont University, where she worked for eight years in leadership positions in both advancement and athletics. In 2016, Kelly earned her Certified Master Athletic Administrator license from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
Assistant Athletic Director Head Coach, Varsity Boys Basketball Assistant Coach, Varsity Soccer Head Coach, Middle School Flag Football Reid is in his tenth year at CIA. He is from Anderson, Indiana and holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Communication Studies and minor in Christian Ethics from Belmont University. In 2014, Reid earned his Certified Athletic Administrator license from the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
Tennis Director Head Coach, Middle School & Varsity Tennis A native of Revere, MA, Coach Ty Avolio came to CIA full-time in January 2011. Ty has been a tennis fan and player for most all of his life. Coach Ty has led the Middle School Tennis team to three Middle Tennessee Athletic Conference Championships (2014, 2015 & 2017) and the Varsity Team has two MTAC Championships (2014 & 2017).
Jason Church joined Mustang Athletics as the Head Coach of Strength and Conditioning in the summer of 2015. Jason attended the University of Mississippi and earned a degree in Exercise Science before completing a Master of Science in Sport Administration from Belmont University in 2009.
Head Coach, Varsity Cross Country Coach Ryne Anderson, a native of Dayton, TN, is in his sixth year as a coach for Mustang Athletics. Ryne played baseball and football at Maryville College, where he graduated with a degree in physical education and a minor in history. Ryne is a History and Physical Education teacher in the Middle School and Upper School at Currey Ingram and an avid runner and biker.
Head Coach, Varsity Volleyball Dr. Jeffrey Mitchell is a native of Canada. He received his MA and Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia. Coach Mitchell has served in four independent schools over 20 years, as both a teacher and administrator. He has also coached every year he has served in independent schools.
Head Coach, Varsity Soccer Head Coach, Middle School Volleyball Assistant Coach, Varsity Volleyball Lacy Ezell came to CIA in 2013 as a teacher and coach. She teaches Art and Photography for the Upper School. Lacy graduated from Sewanee: The University of the South in 2010 where she played on the women's soccer team for four years.
Head Coach, Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach, Middle School Girls Basketball Assistant Coach, Middle School & Varsity Volleyball Ellie Stravers was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Denver where she double majored in German and Psychology with a minor in Mathematics. This is Ellie’s sixth year at Currey Ingram.
Leighton Eby is a native of Dixon, TN and a graduate of Belmont University. While at Belmont, Leighton was a four-year cheerleader for the Bruins, serving as the team captain and cheering in both OVC and NCAA tournaments.
Head Coach, Middle School Soccer A native of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, James Hayden is entering his tenth year as a coach at CIA. Coach Hayden has coached basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball and football for the Mustangs in three separate Divisions.
Head Coach, Upper School Fitness Club Jana is entering her second season as the Middle School Boys Basketball Gold Team Head Coach. She previously coached Cross Country and Varsity Girls Basketball for the Mustangs, as well as serving as a faculty member in the Upper School.
Head Coach, Middle School Cross Country Head Coach, Middle School & Varsity Golf A native Tennessean, Michael Follis has worked at Currey Ingram in many capacities. He has been the afterschool director of the PACE program and taught in the Middle School. In addition, he has coached cross country, golf, and soccer for the Mustangs.
Head Coach, Middle School & Varsity Golf Club Coach Trevor McKey is returning to the Mustangs this year, after a year spent completing graduate school, growing his family, and working with the Belmont Men's Basketball team! Coach McKey is a native of Illinois and played collegiate baseball and basketball at Illinois Valley Community College before transferring to graduate from Eastern Illinois. He is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Assistant Coach, Middle School Soccer Assistant Coach, Middle School Boys Basketball Assistant Coach, Middle School Flag Football Assistant Coach, Middle School & Varsity Golf Club Coach Joel Shrum is in his third year at Currey Ingram Academy as a faculty member in the Middle School. Whether coaching or playing, Coach Shrum is no stranger in athletics.
Paul Turner is in his first year with the Mustangs. An Indiana native, Turner graduated from Belmont University in 2017 and is currently attending Belmont as a graduate student in the Sport Administration program.
Assistant Coach, Middle School Girls Basketball Assistant Coach, Middle School & Varsity Tennis Rose Champagne came to Currey Ingram in the spring of 2015 as the Database Manager from Los Angeles, California.
Assistant Coach, Middle School Cross Country Leahanne joined the Mustang Athletics coaching staff in the fall of 2016 as the Assistant Coach for Middle School Cross Country. She is also a teacher in the Middle School and excels in building relationships with students.

Oren Goldring is in his first year coaching with Middle School basketball, but is no stranger to Mustang Athletics. Coach Goldring has coached basketball, soccer, and flag football in the Lower School for several years. Oren, who is a CIA graduate, attended Maryville College.
Assistant Coach, Middle School Boys Basketball Club Alex is in his first year at CIA. He graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2014 and was a basketball, soccer, volleyball and flag football referee during his time at WKU. He then became an assistant golf professional and a member of the PGA of America.
