Our Campus & Security

The school’s 83-acre campus is located in an idyllic, pastoral area of Brentwood, Tennessee, locally known as Beech Creek Valley. The unique environment encourages teachers and students to explore all subject areas in new ways, through hands-on learning.

Director of Safety & Security

Damon C. Reinold serves as the Director of Safety and Security at Currey Ingram Academy. He came to Currey Ingram with more than 30 years of experience in law enforcement, investigations, emergency response, and campus security. Throughout his career, Damon has worked closely with schools, law enforcement agencies, and community partners to strengthen safety practices, prepare for emergencies, and help create secure environments for students, employees, and families.

Before joining Currey Ingram, Damon served as a Campus Safety Officer and Relief Supervisor at Harpeth Hall School. His law enforcement career also included more than a decade as a detective and FBI Task Force Officer, where he managed multi-agency investigations and collaborated with federal, state, and local partners. Earlier in his career, he served as a Crime Prevention Officer and Field Training Officer with the Dennis Police Department in Massachusetts.

Damon holds a master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Administration from Western New England University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Merrimack College. His specialized training includes crisis negotiation, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, active-shooter response, threat mitigation, emergency preparedness, and security operations.

Currey Ingram Academy does not allow firearms or weapons of any kind on campus. Violation of this policy could result in expulsion for students or dismissal of a family. Only authorized individuals, in accordance with Tennessee law, may carry weapons on campus.

  • A JK-12 Learning Commons that merges our print collections with the latest in hands-on technology and virtual experiences

  • A 40,000-square-foot athletic facility that includes two gyms, a strength and conditioning center, locker rooms, coaches’ offices, a dance studio and more

  • A childcare program for infants through Pre-K. The program serves staff and faculty children, as well as children from the community

  • A college counseling center and student lounge (in the Upper School)

  • A Diagnostic Center open to Currey Ingram students and the public for psychoeducational evaluations and consultations

  • A state-of-the-art dining facility for grades JK-12 and a self-contained multipurpose room for grades JK-4 that is used for assemblies, PE and aftercare activities

  • Five tennis courts, forest trails, a creek that doubles as a hands-on science lab, sports fields, and recreational areas

  • Music, theatre and art studios and a professional sound recording studio

  • Science labs in every Division, including an indoor/outdoor discovery lab in the Lower School
