CPR Parenting

CPR Parenting: Dealing with “Control, Power and Responsibility” is the focus of the noon to 1:30 p.m. February 8 session of the Annette Eskind Institute of Learning. Nick Valadez of Southeast Psych has developed this parenting approach, which is relationship dynamic and empowers parents to learn to control their power responsibly. Mr. Valadez will be discussing how to parent with self-regulation and how parents can help children/teens grow in responsibility and self-control. Highlights will feature common issues surrounding power struggles in parenting and other relationship dynamics (e.g., marriage, family, work, teams). Mr. Valdez has been with Southeast Psych for over 10 years helping individuals, couples, and families build strong relationships and resilience. His clients are primarily adults and older adolescents seeking to improve their self-control, self-care, and life direction. He provides guidance in the areas of ADHD, executive functioning, marriage & divorce, school & career performance, and spiritual issues. He also offers help and support to parents, educators, physicians, attorneys, pastors, and corporate leadership teams. He earned his BS from Indiana University, MA and MTS from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing his Ph.D from Loyola University in Maryland.
