Spring Sports Begins for Mustang Athletics

The Spring Sports season has arrived for the Mustang Athletic teams. Games for the Mustang Soccer and Tennis teams begin this week, as they host matches on Tuesday evening. The Mustang Golf team also hit the course on Monday afternoon as their season got under way.
The Varsity Tennis team hosts MJCA to open their 2016 season. The 2014 MTAC Champion and 2015 MTAC Runner-up Mustangs look to continue excellence in the conference this year with a strong squad led by a veteran core. Coach Avolio returns a strong team that finished runner-up in last year's championship in a closely contested match.

The Varsity Soccer team hosts Riverside to begin their season, as they look to build with a veteran core and rising talent. The Mustangs will look to replace their leading goal-scorer from a year ago, but add some of the young players who helped lead their Middle School team to a strong finish last year. Coach Ezell is excited about the team and their potential and it looks to be an exciting year for Mustang Soccer.

Middle School Tennis will look to continue their run of championships in the MTAC this year. The young team has many newcomers, but Coach Avolio sees great potential for his squad as they will take the courts for their first match after Spring Break.

Soccer in the Middle School has seen record numbers this year. Coach Hayden has a strong group of players who will be a force in conference play this year. A strong group that has played together for many years will form the core of the team, and they will add eager players who are new to the Middle School program.

Coach Vinson once again leads the Mustang Golf team into an exciting Spring. This group will take to the course every Monday afternoon looking to imporove their skill and fine tune their game.
