Years at CIA: 14 Coaching Experience: A native of Massachusetts, Ty Avolio has been a tennis fan and player for most all of his life and began teaching tennis and working in the Junior Program at Maryland Farms in Brentwood, TN after a successful music career. He is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association. Coach Avolio has also worked with a therapeutic recreational program for special needs individuals and started an at-risk community summer tennis camp in Nashville. In 2013, Coach Avolio accepted an Educational Merit Award from the State of Tennessee USTA. Coach Ty has led the Middle School Tennis team to three Middle Tennessee Athletic Conference Championships (2014, 2015 & 2017) and the Varsity Team has two MTAC Championships (2014 & 2017).
