Varsity Soccer: CIA Shows Improvement Against Aaron Academy

CIA showed what hard work and teamwork can accomplish, coming close to taking down the Royals on Friday night.
Aaron Academy came to town Friday evening, looking to take down the Mustangs for the second time of the season. CIA had a different idea. After a quick Royals goal, the Mustangs responded with two goals from Ben Leathers. The team went into halftime with a 2-1 lead and plenty of confidence. Aaron Academy responded with 2 goals in the first 20 minutes of the second half, to take a 3-2 lead. Although CIA had looks on goal, they could not put any past the goal line. This was the first game with a new lineup for the Mustangs and each player that stepped onto the field responded with a fight and determination to be proud of. The team takes on Franklin Classical on Monday.
