Mustang Athletics is an educational-based athletics program that provides a competitive and safe environment. Offering both individual and team sports to students in grades K-12, all students are encouraged to participate.

Mrs. Miller is scheduling individual meetings with Seniors and their family from August 16-23. Please be reading your email to get that appointment with her scheduled. These meetings will be held to discuss individually with each Senior their college and career plans for this year. Seniors make sure to schedule your appointment! Remember, when requesting recommendations you must complete a recommendation request form for your teacher/counselor and attach your resume. Teachers need to know your deadline for the recommendation, and you need to give them a two week notice. Recommendation forms are in the College Counseling office.

October 17: Samford University at The Factory in Franklin at 7:00 p.m.
October 17: Senior Group Photo Day at CIA Upper School at 8:00 a.m. All Seniors must be present! Seniors will wear black shirts and jeans.
October 18: PSAT/NMSQT: PSAT testing for National Merit Scholars. This test is only for Juniors who have requested to take this exam.
October 19: College Counseling and the TN Promise with Seniors.
October 20: WKU visiting CIA.
October 20: SCAD visiting CIA.
October 26: NFI Nashville Film Institute visiting CIA.
October 27:Vocational Rehabilitation visiting CIA Upper School.
October 30 at 6:30 p.m.:"Paying for College: Types of Financial Aid" zoom session for all Senior parents with Jonathan Donald from TSAC. Great session, don't miss it!
October 31: College Counseling will be with Junior Seminar
November 1: Deadline for the TN Promise to be completed.

November 3: Senior parents make sure you have submitted Senior names for diplomas and cap and gown information for Graduation to Mrs. Miller!
November 8-9: The Pre-ACT exam will be given to all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students.
November 10 at 8:30 a.m. in the Upper School Auditorium: Lipscomb University representatives from the IDEAL, BEST program, and Office of Accessibility. All 9th-12th grade parents are invited to this session.
Faculty and staff from Lipscomb University's Office of Accessibility and Learning Supports will be sharing about programs for students with disabilities. Representatives from ACCESS, BEST, and IDEAL will be present. The ACCESS Program provides academic and non-academic accommodations for all registered students with disabilities. BEST is a support program for degree-seeking students with disabilities who need more direct support. Students must be accepted to the university as a traditional student. IDEAL is a certificate program for students with Intellectual disabilities (IQ less than 75). Staff will share about admission criteria, processes, deadlines, and things to get started on before college!
