Born and raised in Texas, Rhonda and her husband Chance have called Nashville home for 16 years. Like so many, she moved to town chasing her dream as a singer. Living in this creative community and having the privilege to collaborate with some of Nashville's finest songwriting talent, Rhonda has tremendous respect for the art of crafting a great song and the title singer/songwriter.
Whether performing her originally crafted lyrics and melodies, cover shows around Nashville, at corporate events nationally, or at benefits for a variety of causes she's passionate about, Rhonda's pure, classic vocals and artistry are captivating. Her lyrics are often raw, real and honest, covering topics such as love, life and death. Other songs showcase her quirky sense of humor and small-town Texas roots. One thing is for certain with Rhonda - audiences are guaranteed to experience a broad spectrum of emotions during her performances.
"While my return to music is a personal journey to get out of God’s way, embrace his gifts and do what brings me joy, I’m not sure I’d ever have had the courage to purse my music again in my 40s if it weren't for my son, Dash. Ultimately everything I do is to teach (and impress) my five-year-old son. He inspires me daily to become more, to be better, and to make the most of this one life I've been blessed with and the legacy I'll leave."
There are many words, titles and accolades that can be used to describe Rhonda. The one she is most proud of is "Dash's Mom."
