A native of Revere, MA, Coach Ty Avolio came to CIA full-time in January 2011. Ty has been a tennis fan and player for most all of his life. Coach Ty has led the Middle School Tennis team to three Middle Tennessee Athletic Conference Championships (2014, 2015 & 2017) and the Varsity Team has two MTAC Championships (2014 & 2017).

A native of Revere, MA, Coach Ty Avolio came to CIA full-time in January 2011. Ty has been a tennis fan and player for most all of his life and began teaching tennis and working in the Junior Program at Maryland Farms in Brentwood, TN after a successful music career.  He is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association and a regular attendee at United States Tennis Association's Tennis Teachers Conference in New York City. Coach Ty has also worked with a therapeutic recreational program for special needs individuals and started an at-risk community summer tennis camp in Nashville. He also coordinates Mustang Athletics' annual summer tennis camp. In 2013, Coach Avolio accepted an Educational Merit Award from the State of Tennessee USTA. Coach Ty has led the Middle School Tennis team to three Middle Tennessee Athletic Conference Championships (2014, 2015 & 2017) and the Varsity Team has two MTAC Championships (2014 & 2017).

Located in Brentwood, Tenn., just miles from Nashville and Franklin, Currey Ingram Academy is a K-12 independent, college-preparatory day school for students with unique learning styles and/or learning differences.
